1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
18 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 sticks butter or margarine
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk

Combine sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and boil for 9 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Pour boiling mixture over ingredients in mixing bowl and mix until chocolate melts. Pour into 2 buttered pans and chill.
