2 oz. chocolate
1/4 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
1 c. nut meats

1/2 tsp. salt

Cut the chocolate into pieces and put it and the milk in a small saucepan. Stir and cook over low heat until a smooth thick paste is formed. Beat the eggs and then add the sugar. Stir until it is dissolved. Cool the chocolate paste, then add to egg and sugar mixture. Measure the flour after sifting. Add the salt and sift into the above mixture. Then add the vanilla and chopped nut meats. Stir well. Melt the butter and add to the other ingredients. Beat well and place in a greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
